Reaching My Goals

I’m living my life like its Platinum. This post is inspired by Jill Scott, India Arie, Donald Lawrence, and Musiq. I’ve been playing their music all week and the songs that were on repeat by the artist:

I’m excited about what’s to come in my future. I turned 26 on the 1st of March and I had to take a step back and say damn what I have to show for 26yrs of living. I had to take control of my life. What I mean by that is I had to stop living in the shadows of some of my family members’ dreams. I was always pushing and encouraging them in their goals and forgot about my own in the mist. My life had been on a downward spin and it was going fast. I had to notice that it was my fault and my fault alone. I had to take control of my life and start to realize my own worth. I know that me taking this stance it might hurt some but I need to do this for myself. So here is how the songs took presence in my life for Jill Scott- Living my life like its Golden- I’m living my life like its Platinum. Donald Lawrence- I had to Encourage Myself when there are no cheerleaders in my corner. Musiq’s SoulStar this song has so much meaning
